There’s something extra special about a Maui family portrait session when it’s your kids’ first trip to Hawaii. For the Ciochetto family, Ironwoods Beach set the stage: a blend of pastel beachy colors, rolling waves, and golden sand. While Mom and Dad had visited before, this was a brand-new adventure for their three kids: two bright, joyful girls and their good-natured brother, who, let’s be honest, wasn’t entirely convinced about the whole “family photo” thing.
But that’s the beauty of our portrait sessions, it’s not about stiff poses or perfect smiles. It’s about capturing real life, as it happens. The kids running barefoot through the sand. A shared giggle between siblings. A stolen kiss between parents who’ve built a beautiful life together. These are the moments that matter, the ones that will fill the Ciochetto family album with warmth and laughter for years to come…

We made sure to capture everything: the full family framed by Maui’s serene horizon, sweet sibling hugs, and tender shots of Mom and Dad with each of their little ones. There’s a quiet kind of magic in those one-on-one photos, the kind that reminds you how quickly time moves and why it’s so worth pausing to preserve it.
The Ciochetto’s Maui family portrait session was more than a photoshoot; it was a celebration of togetherness, of new experiences, and of love that keeps growing through every season. Someday, when they flip through these photos back at their Michigan cabin, they’ll remember not just the view, but the feeling, that perfect blend of sunshine, connection, and joy!

We absolutely loved how the Ciochetto family coordinated in soft pastel tones. It was the perfectly matchy-matchy palette that complemented Maui’s dreamy light and tied their whole look together beautifully!

Sometimes love stories feel like they’re written in the stars, and Brendan and Alesia’s Kauai proposal portrait was one of those stories that unfolded with cinematic perfection. Picture this: the shoreline stretching wide, the mountains standing tall in the background, and a blanket lined with delicate white flowers and framed photographs. (How thoughtful?!) Each detail
