Some places hold a piece of your story, and for the Cabansag family, a Maui family portrait session at Ironwoods Beach was more than photos; it was a return to a chapter that began years ago. Vince and Anne honeymooned here in 2012 (with photos by our team, we adore a full-circle moment!), and now they’ve come back with their two little ones, Lane and Remi, to create brand-new memories on the island that means so much to them!
Ironwoods welcomed them with soft trade winds, waves rolling in like a heartbeat, and a soft blue sky. The Cabansags brought the same energy, joyful, relaxed, and so wonderfully connected….
Lane, 8, is the embodiment of childhood adventure and balancing that fearless spirit with video-game-enthusiast energy. Remi, three and soaking in Hawaii for the very first time, followed close behind, princess heart sparkling and determined to do everything big brother did. Their bond, cuddly, playful, beautifully real, made every photo feel like a warm hug.
This session wasn’t about perfect poses; it was about preserving this season of life. Their silly moments, their quiet snuggles, the kind of memories that only family adventures create. And the sweetness of knowing their story began here makes these images even richer.
