Full Circle – The Santana Family’s Maui Portraits

Ten years after celebrating their wedding in Maui through Simple Maui Wedding, they returned with the sweetest addition to their story, an energetic little boy who kept everyone smiling from start to finish. Watching these three together was impossible not to love. Every laugh, cuddle, and playful moment felt completely natural, which made the entire evening unfold beautifully.

The focus of the session was their family of three, and those images quickly became some of our favorites. Surrounded by Maui’s golden shoreline, lava rocks, and gentle ocean breeze, they shared the kind of easy connection that comes from years of building a life together. Meanwhile, a few portraits with the grandparents added even more meaning to the evening. One of the biggest surprises came when Mom’s father flew in for the session. Rather than aiming for formal poses, he embraced the fun side of being a grandfather. His playful expressions and silly moments with his grandson created some of the most genuine smiles of the day.

As the sun lowered over the water, the family photography session ended with soft light, a beautiful dance, and memories that felt both new and wonderfully familiar.
