During this epidemic and with all the travel restrictions, there’s no place you’d rather call home than our beautiful sunny island of Maui! With limited tourism, it was the perfect time for the Kihei-dwelling Dowell-Brendgards to capture some bright and airy Maui family portraits!

David runs the amazing Maui Brewing Company, and Dawn works for the Department of Education — How cool is that? Both are providing an essential service to our island! They all love being outdoors, so they were practically right at home in the sandy shores of Southside Beach.

These Maui family portraits began in the early hours of the day when the sunlight was crisp and vivid. We love the bold tropical colors and brilliant highlights that the morning brings out along the beach. Sporting lilac and cool tones, this crew’s wardrobe complements the rich tones of the horizon and pops against the greenery.
