Some photoshoots are more than just a session; they’re a celebration! The Hopkins’ Kauai family portrait was exactly that: a sun-drenched, barefoot, ocean-breeze kind of celebration. This wasn’t just any trip to Hawaii. This was Kay and Paul’s 35th wedding anniversary journey, back to the island where they first said “I do.”
The family has walked Kauai’s beaches before. Once when Madison and Mark were little, and again in their teenage years. But this time? This time was extra special. Because this time, they came back with grandchildren. Their first family portraits of three generations!

We met them at Shipwrecks Beach, one of our favorite picturesque spots. With golden cliffs on one side and endless ocean on the other, it’s the kind of place that adds magic to everything. Including a giggling 2.5-year-old named June and her brand-new baby sister Willa, who, by the way, was an absolute natural in front of the camera!
We captured all the combinations, from parents to grandkids, in a carefree and effortless way. These images aren’t just pretty photos. They’re living proof of thirty-five years of love, stitched together across generations, captured under palm trees in the golden light. Our photography style is all about connection over perfection. We guide you just enough to make sure everyone feels confident, then we step back and let the real moments happen like we did during the Hopkins’ Kauai family portraits…

Hopkins family, you were sunshine and sweetness and everything in between. We loved documenting this milestone, and we hope you all have the very best of times! Happy 35th anniversary, Kay and Paul! You have a beautiful family!
