Aqua Splashes and Warm Smiles- The Kerschens’ Maui Beach Portraits

We had a great time meeting up again with the Kerschen Ohana for their Maui Beach Portraits on the shore DT Fleming. We love when clients return to the island because it always feels like meeting up with friends! While the Kerschens have flown out from their hometown in New Mexico to land on Maui numerous times before, we’re sure every time feels like the first! Because when you’re in Hawaii, everyday is a whole new adventure!

The Maui Beach Portraits

We met up with the Kerschen family last week for fun and beautiful shots along the west side of the island. With two young adults in tow, the Kerschens decided to take a few days to soak in the ocean and acclimate before posing for their family photos. And it seems like they adjusted well! This crew was all about enjoying their time on the beach and simply being themselves in front of the lens.

This is the fourth time the Kerschens have posed for us, and it’s been a delight to watch their kids grow up. These two had all the confidence and charm of young people who believe in themselves and are proud to who they are—and it’s no coincidence! Over the years we’ve spent capturing the Kerschens Maui beach portraits, we’ve watched the synergy of this awesome family and know how supportive Mom and Dad have always been. It’s a joy to capture a timeline of beautiful memories for such a sweet family.

The Kerschens were staying in Kapalua, so we selected DT Fleming as the stunning (and convenient) backdrop for their Maui Beach Portraits. DT Fleming is the perfect spot for photos that meld rustic ambiance with the enchanting aquas of the Pacific. The morning hours create a soft luminous look while the shore is often less busy.

Well, there might be a special photobomber if you’re lucky! This cutie was enjoying an early nap and felt comfortable simply chilling out in the company of the Kerschens. But then again, with these kind smiles, who wouldn’t?
