Spreading The Love – The Posherstnik’s Maui Family Portrait
If there’s a recipe for pure joy, the Posherstnik family brought it with them to their Maui family portrait, equal parts love, laughter, and the magic of all being together in one place.
This wasn’t just any vacation. Jim and Brenda Sorensen, lifelong Hawaii lovers, had taken their three daughters to Maui many times over the years. For them, the island isn’t just a destination, it’s a happy place woven into their family history. This trip was different, though. For the first time ever, all fifteen family members made it: Kristin and Doug with Drew (12) and Avery (10); Bri and Erick with Ben (9), Sadie (8), and Daniel, who celebrated his 6th birthday on the trip! And Jenna with Konstantin, Koby (10), and Ethan (7). For three of the kids, it was their very first time experiencing Hawaii’s magic!
Jenna, Konstantin, and their kids had a Maui portrait session with us back in October 2024 and loved it so much, they convinced the whole family to join in this time. And honestly? The decision was perfect!
Relaxed & Carefree
The session was a beautiful blend of posed portraits and genuine connection. It was so sweet to see grandparents soaking in the sight of their entire family in one frame, and the kind of candid moments you can’t plan. We love how they all coordinated in blue and white, too! Take it from us: this is such a good idea for a larger group, so the overall look and feel is cohesive and not an explosion of color chaos! And the Posherstnik’s nailed it. Well, this isn’t their first “tropical rodeo” with us!
The Maui morning gave us its best show, bright light spilling across the sand, the ocean sparkling in the background. Our style leans into these real moments, and the Posherstniks gave us plenty to capture. Maui holds a special place in their heart, and we are honored to capture this next chapter for them!
