The Ricker family’s Kauai family portrait was an absolutely delightful experience! It was a surprise for Katey’s mother, Claudeen, on her 70th birthday, and everyone was thrilled when it all came together! Quality Family Time
This last-minute decision to head to Kauai instead of somewhere cold and snowy seemed like the best idea ever – especially considering both Katey and her mom had been through medical procedures this past year. Though for the Rickers, a getaway like this wasn’t something they typically do, so they decided to go all out and really treat themselves!
We headed out to Shipwrecks Beach in search of that perfect backdrop for their Kauai family portrait. And you bet we found one! With its pristine shoreline, warm waters, and rocky cliffsides, Shipwrecks Beach provided so much natural beauty – it felt like there was no better place to commemorate this special occasion.
Treat Ourselves
The kids loved the beach, of course! They loved exploring the sandy line while their parents and grandparents basked in the sun’s warmth. Everyone looked wonderful, too, elegantly dressed with an effortless touch. Their attire is just relaxed enough for a casual family outing but dressed up enough for a special celebration!
As we snapped away at gorgeous shots of the happy family, you could feel the love radiating from them throughout the session. Their sweet expressions towards each other showed us how much they truly enjoyed being around one another. That moment will be forever etched into their memories!
