When we met Rocco & Willa for a sunset portrait session, there was a lot to be excited for. On the surface, this was a stunning maternity session with a glowing couple. But there was one secret we were keeping from beautiful Willa: we were also their Maui proposal photographer!
Ok, we don’t want to get ahead of ourselves, because the big question comes closer to sunset. First let’s take a look at some of their babymoon photography and learn more about this incredible couple!
A Worthwhile Getaway
Before changing hats and becoming Rocco & Willa’s Maui proposal photographer, we captured some beautiful maternity portraits. This sweet couple traveled from New Jersey to have their Babymoon on the Pacific Ocean, and they were having a great time!
Of course, they were missing their Boarder Collie Bean, who will soon gain a new human. He was back home with family while his fur mom & dad were getting some R&R before becoming Mom & Dad to an actual baby!
Southside Beach was the perfect setting for their portraits. The lush green vegetation framed the light gold sand, and the water reflected the pastel skies beautifully. Keep scrolling to see more pre-proposal shots!
The Biggest Question at the Prettiest Moment
We were antsy for Rocco to propose. We loved their maternity portraits but just couldn’t get over the excitement of a proposal. But Rocco’s a smart guy, and a romantic one too! So he waited until the moment was perfect.
As the setting sun cast a golden glow on his glowing love, and as she looked out gracefully over their beautiful surroundings, Rocco dropped down on one knee and surprised Willa with the ultimate question.
Of course she said yes! And we got to be their Maui Proposal Photographer! What a dream.
With both a baby and a wedding to look forward to, Rocco & Willa finished up their portrait session as the sun set beautifully over Maui’s waters. We can’t wait for them to return to our island and share their many adventures to come!
