When it comes to family portraits, the beach was a new location for the Ruby family! The usual backdrop had always been their hometown of Chico, California, but this time, they decided to change things up. They were so happy to be back again in Kauai for some quality family time…and beach time, of course!

Getting family portraits taken every couple of years is a tradition for our lovely family. It’s a way to freeze moments in time, creating tangible memories that will last a lifetime. So, the thought of having new Kauai family portraits to add to their album from a place that holds so much joy and wonderful memories was truly special!

Quality Family Time

Fawn and her husband, Jason, are about to celebrate their 15th wedding anniversary while in Kauai. They met in college and have been inseparable ever since. Jason is a dedicated Physician Assistant, while Fawn takes on the role of a high school administrator. Together, they make the perfect team, not only in their careers but also in their shared passion for tending to their home and property. And let’s not forget about their furry friends – they have quite the menagerie of animals!

Their charming family consists of three amazing kids. Addie, their 11-year-old daughter, is a delightful blend of girly girl and farmhand. She effortlessly transitions between shopping for beauty products and exploring the local horse ranch, where she rides and interns. Confident and in charge, Addie brings vibrant energy to the family.

Colin, their 9-year-old son, is a sports enthusiast. A diehard San Francisco 49ers and Golden State Warriors fan, his love for reading and swimming matches his passion for the game. With a kind heart and a knack for jokes, Colin spreads laughter wherever he goes!

Cora, the youngest at six years old, celebrates her birthday in August soon too! With a love for horseback riding and ballet, she embodies both sweetness and a fearless spirit. Cora is the perfect mix of gentle and adventurous, always ready to explore new horizons.

Lydgate Beach provided the ideal backdrop for their Kauai family portrait. This would be the third time the Ruby family has been to the island, and they love it! Laughter filled the air as they played in the sand, embracing the joy of being in paradise together. The portraits turned out to be a pastel dream, with soft colors that perfectly captured the essence of their family’s love and happiness…
