Some photo sessions are calm and serene… and then there are the Scullys, who brought the best kind of joyful fun to their Maui family portrait at Launiopoko Beach.
This crew of five, with three boys: Rylan (9), Ronan (7), and Baylor (4) know how to keep things lively. Add in Grandpa and Grandma for this year’s vacation (and the photo shoot), and you’ve got the perfect recipe for a Maui family portrait session that’s part family reunion, part full-on adventure.
Launiopoko, with its palm-lined shore and views that look like a Hawaiian postcard, gave us the perfect backdrop for their portraits. Between promises of treats and the irresistible pull of the beach, the boys delivered the kind of genuine smiles and laughter that make family portraits feel so real…It was a joy to work with them on such a lovely morning!
All The Feels
We captured it all, portraits of the immediate family of five, sweet moments with the grandparents, and individuals of each kiddo. And of course, a few shots of just the three brothers together. The candid in-between moments were some of the best: sandy toes, mischievous grins, and that sibling energy you can’t pose.
What made this session extra special is that the Scullys make Maui a tradition, visiting almost every year. These Maui family portraits aren’t just vacation photos; they’re part of a larger story, a visual time capsule of their family growing and changing against the same beautiful island backdrop. The boys had so much fun playing in the mirror-like tide pools and shoreline. It was the perfect setting for active young boys who just wanted to play!
