A Hawaiian vacation is a perfect opportunity to capture family memories and milestones! The Shin’s knew they wanted a Kauai family portrait because, for once, their extended family was together to celebrate their parent’s 50th wedding anniversary! What an incredible marriage milestone! It was their first time visiting Kauai, so they had that island glow in their smiles, as you’ll see in their photos below!

It’s not often we celebrate and honor the different generations in a family, so this was refreshing to see all the boys together with their father and grandfather! In Hawaii, ohana (family) means everything, and the Shin’s Kauai family portrait captured that sentiment beautifully. Their grandparents, James and Mimi, were so proud of them all!

And they couldn’t have asked for a better day too! So many beaches on Kauai are stunning, but Shipwrecks Beach has to be one of our top favorites on the island! It’s dramatic and offers a variety of tropical spots to choose from, from the lava rocks to the palm trees!

Their grandparents love spending quality time with Lucas and Eleanor, especially since they’re growing up so fast! How happy do they look celebrating their incredible milestone with their sweet grandkids?

Congratulations to James and Mimi on your 50th wedding anniversary! May you have many more to celebrate with your beautiful family! It was a pleasure to capture your Kauai family portrait!
