There are souvenirs you can tuck into a suitcase, shell necklaces, beach towels, maybe a jar of pineapple jam. And then there are the souvenirs that don’t gather dust, the kind that live on walls, in frames, and in hearts. For the Leveille and Kerr family, their Maui family portraits at Southside Beach became exactly that, the best kind of souvenir!
Repeat clients (which already tells you how much we adore them), the family returned for another session, this time with an extra-special twist: it was their parents’ first trip to Maui. There’s something about sharing the island with loved ones for the first time. It makes everything brighter, the sunsets more golden, the ocean more inviting, the laughter louder. Their little ones had so much fun, and everyone brought their biggest, brightest smiles!

Southside Beach delivered all the magic! With its golden sand, soft light, and gently rolling waves, it set the perfect stage for a portrait session filled with joy. Between playful candid moments and classic posed shots, the families had the best time. You could see it in the way they embraced and the way those “in-between” frames ended up being some of the most genuine. Their kiddos loved having fun quality time with their grandparents! We are all about real moments like this.
And that’s the thing about family photos in Hawaii, they aren’t just pictures. They’re a way of bottling up time. Kids grow, parents age, life changes in big and small ways, but these portraits? They’re little time capsules that let you return to that exact sliver of life whenever you want.

For the Leveille and Kerr family, these portraits marked not just another trip to Maui, but new memories made together, milestones wrapped in golden light. And honestly, we can’t think of a better souvenir! We hope these are new favorite additions to your other Maui family portraits at home!
