Born and raised on the island of Maui, Stephen found the perfect opportunity to propose to his girlfriend, Ximena, during one of their annual visits to see his parents. The couple, who met while working at a hospital in Flagstaff, Arizona, share a bond that has grown stronger over their five years together. With two dogs and two cats as part of their family, Stephen, a Physical Therapist, and Ximena, a Medical Assistant, dream of eventually settling down in Maui. It was the perfect moment to ask the big question…can you guess her answer? (A yes!)

The proposal, carefully planned and executed with the help of our secret-keeping photographer, unfolded at the picturesque Southside Beach. As Ximena’s back was turned, Stephen got down on one knee, and the sheer joy on her face when she turned around and said yes was captured in every frame. It was a moment of pure magic, witnessed by the stunning backdrop of the beach and the golden glow of the setting sun.

You could feel the love throughout their entire Maui proposal portrait session. The joy emanated all around, they soaked up every minute. Undoubtedly, they are so excited to share the happy news with friends and family! They can’t wait to begin their next chapter together! What better place than Maui to do so too? With the beautiful ocean and stunning sunset as their backdrop, it was the perfect setting for this special moment.

As they strolled along the beach hand in hand, they couldn’t help but reminisce about their journey together. From that fateful first date to all the adventures they’ve been on, each memory brought a smile to their faces.
