The Thiessen family didn’t just return to Hawaii for a Maui family portrait, they came back to the place where their story with us began.
Back in 2017, it was just the two of them, newly married and glowing, walking hand in hand along Baldwin Beach while we captured their honeymoon portraits. It was one of those sessions that felt soft and golden and full of promise, the kind where you can practically see the future unfolding in front of you.
And now?
They’re back. With three beautiful kids, sandy toes, and hearts that somehow feel even fuller than they did that first time!

There is something incredibly meaningful about revisiting the exact same beach where your life together started. Baldwin has that magic, wide open stretches of sand, gentle rolling waves, and the kind of light that feels like a love letter from the island itself. It’s peaceful, nostalgic, and deeply personal all at once, which made it the perfect backdrop for this new chapter of the Thiessen’s story.
