The Thompson family brought their Michigan warmth to Maui for a special Maui family portrait session at DT Fleming Beach! Visiting for the Michigan State basketball game in Lahaina, they also squeezed in some time to capture priceless family memories under the Hawaiian sun.
This trip was extra special—it had been a few years since their last family photoshoot in Hawaii back in 2019 on the Big Island. With two teenagers, Max (14) and Kate (12), their family dynamic is full of personality. Max, a basketball player, brought his signature serious game face to the session but still managed to sneak in a few natural smiles. Kate, a dancer, was more at ease in front of the camera, striking poses like a pro. And let’s not forget Marc, who, much like Max, went with the flow and kept the vibe very relaxed.
The lighting at DT Fleming Beach was a dream! The soft, golden backlight created an ethereal glow that made the family’s blue and white outfits pop against the beachy backdrop. They strolled by the water, laughed, and shared sweet, candid moments. Our photography skillfully captured the beauty of the tropical setting and just the warmth of their family.
