The Arevalo’s Maui family portrait session at Southside Beach felt like the kind of moment you don’t rush, because you’ve waited a long time for it! Though both parents had been to Maui before, this was their first time experiencing the island together, and even more meaningful, their first big family vacation in years with everyone in one place. After thirteen years of marriage and seasons shaped by busy schedules and college football commitments, this trip felt like a long, well-earned exhale.
Southside Beach delivered exactly what they dreamed of: soft aqua water, swaying palm trees, and that golden sunset light that makes everything feel a little more magical. The session flowed effortlessly between classic, timeless portraits and relaxed, candid moments. Full family photos captured the strength of their bond, while individual groupings: parents with kids and siblings together told the story of their family from every angle.
What made this session especially special was the energy. There was laughter woven between the frames, easy smiles, and the kind of comfort that only comes from years of loving one another through every phase.
