First Timers – The Butler’s Maui Family Portrait
Oh, the Butlers. A crew so charming, stylish, and joyfully Kentucky-rooted and proud of it. Visiting Maui from Lexington for the first time, this brilliant family of doctors, lawyers, engineers, students (and yes, even a horse industry pro!) decided to mark the occasion in the most frame-worthy way possible, with a Maui family portrait session under the morning sun!
Craig and Carina, parents (both physicians), were beaming with pride as their oh-so-accomplished kids gathered under the Hawaiian sunshine. Caroline, the eldest and a lawyer, brought her boyfriend Court, whose job in the horse industry might be the most Kentucky thing to ever Kentucky! Then there’s Chip, the IT engineer, and his girlfriend Tori, who both looked effortlessly chic. Chase, a sophomore at the University of Kentucky, brought his laid-back charm, while Blake is heading to UK as a freshman. And Farrah, the youngest at 13, brought a sparkly eighth-grade energy and a contagious smile that made everyone light up…
Morning Light & Love
Their Maui family portrait session at Polo Beach was filled with laughter, soft ocean breezes, and plenty of “wait, stand still just one more second!” The bright morning light made everything feel bright and happy. It was the kind of morning that makes you want to bottle up the sunshine and carry it home with you. Morning light tends to be vibrant and bright compared to sunset. We love both times of day for very different reasons! And as you can see here in their Maui family portrait, the light is lively, bright, and has a happy, fresh vibe!
Since it was their first time in Hawaii, capturing this moment felt extra meaningful. Because let’s face it, Maui family portraits aren’t just about the photos.
