Some moments are so perfectly timed, they feel like the universe was in on the planning. Francisco and Camila’s Kauai proposal portrait was one of those moments. Think golden light spilling across Shipwrecks Beach, waves rolling in like applause, and a love story that already reads like a novel.
They first met while working at Deloitte, just before the world shut down. What started as casual WhatsApp chats quickly turned into marathon conversations, the kind where night becomes morning before you even notice. They are also both raised in the Dominican Republic! How fate has brought them together! Through lockdowns and uncertainty, Camila became Francisco’s best friend; his safe place, his laughter, his joy. By the time they officially became a couple three years ago, they already knew: this was forever.
Francisco describes himself as quiet, serious, maybe even a little introverted. Camila? She’s the opposite: radiant, talkative, always laughing. Together, they balance each other perfectly, each bringing out the best in the other… So when it came to popping the question, Francisco knew it had to be perfect. And boy, it was in every way!

With the sun at their backs, Francisco found the ideal moment to drop to one knee to propose to the love of his life. And without hesitation and sheer joy (and surprise!) she said yes! At Shipwrecks Beach, with the roar of the Pacific and the sweep of Kauai’s cliffs behind them, it felt like time stood still. Hawaii wasn’t just a destination; it became part of their love story.
Their Kauai proposal portraits capture it all: the joy, the surprise, the softness of two people stepping into forever. For Francisco and Camila, Hawaii was the perfect place to begin their next chapter…

There are sunsets, and then there are Kauai sunsets. The kind where the entire sky blushes pink, the ocean has every shade of turquoise, and the cliffs glow. It was in this cinematic perfection that Francisco and Camila celebrated their proposal, hand in hand, glowing every bit as brightly as the horizon.
Camila looked stunning in a butter-yellow dress, the creamy fabric catching the light and melting seamlessly into the golden glow of sunset. Beside her, Francisco wore natural whites and sandy tones that blended effortlessly with Kauai’s dramatic cliffs and rugged shoreline. Together, they looked less like people posing for photos and more like two characters in a love story the island was helping to write.
And oh, were they happy! From the way Francisco carried her across the sand to the quiet moment when she leaned into his shoulder. You can practically feel their happiness in the photos… newly engaged and on cloud nine!

Congratulations to you both! It was so beautiful, just like you two. We wish you nothing but the best in the future! Now you have some stunning memories to share this moment with your family and friends. Enjoy every second of your newly-engaged bliss in Kauai!

Mornings in Hawaii are basically nature’s way of showing off. And on this particular morning, the Tang family reminded us exactly why we adore being Oahu family photographers. With soft golden light, gentle waves, and the sweetest giggles from soon-to-be-nine-year-old Valerie, this Oahu family portrait session was pure sunshine in photo form. From the moment
