My Angel – Joel & May Lee’s Maui Proposal Portrait
Some love stories don’t rush; they grow quietly, deeply, and exactly when they’re meant to. For Joel and May Lee, their Maui proposal portrait at Maluaka Beach was the long-awaited moment that turned seven beautiful years together into forever!
They first met at a networking event, two kindred spirits who became friends, concert buddies, and eventually, soulmates. Life had brought them both through heartbreak and healing, but when they found each other, everything just fit. Joel says he knew right away! He said she was “an angel on loan from Heaven (and the prettiest girl in Texas)!” How sweet is that?! But being the gentleman he is, he waited until the timing was right…and now, it’s that time!
And this day? It was perfect. The plan was disguised as a simple beach photoshoot, something romantic but routine enough not to raise suspicion. As the golden Maui light began to settle over the ocean, Joel dropped to one knee. May Lee turned around, surprise and emotion washing over her face. It was absolutely priceless! The kind of moment made for Maui proposal photography!
When she said yes, the sunset seemed to celebrate too! They sealed the promise with a kiss, one of many they’ve shared, but somehow the most meaningful of all. The laughter, the tears, the glow of love, every photo captured the kind of happiness that can only come from two people who’ve truly found home in each other. Isn’t there anything sweeter?
After the proposal, Joel and May Lee took a slow, joy-filled walk along Maluaka Beach, the golden light wrapping around them like a blessing. The waves lapped gently at their feet as they laughed, hand in hand, still glowing from the surprise and the “yes” that changed everything. Aren’t these two the sweetest?! We don’t think it’s possible to look any happier!
