The Lopezes’ Maui family portrait session at DT Fleming Beach was everything we love about photographing families in Hawaii! It was full of laughter, movement, and those real, fleeting moments that say this is us. With three boys ages 8, 6, and 2, the day was delightfully unpredictable in the best way possible. Silliness, hugs, and a whole lot of laughter!
Before we started, Jessica admitted that her husband and kids weren’t exactly thrilled about taking photos (a sentiment so many families share!). Oh, but we beg to differ! Her goal was simple: to walk away with one frame-worthy photo that captured all five of them together since welcoming their youngest. We think they got that and so much more! Family portraits can be so much fun when they are at the beach! Just see the Lopez family’s portraits below!

Their Maui family portrait session found that perfect balance between her love for candid joy and his preference for classic, camera-ready moments. We began along the soft shoreline, the family’s footprints trailing behind them as the waves lapped at their feet. The boys, full of energy, gave us their biggest smiles. Aren’t they just adorable in their matching little outfits?! We love how they coordinated so perfectly!
Between the giggles and sweet hugs, we caught genuine smiles that can’t be posed or planned. That’s what makes Maui family photography so magical! From the turquoise ocean to the golden dunes and lush palm backdrop, every direction feels like a postcard. Hawaii doesn’t just give you scenery: it gives you feeling: warmth, light, and connection.

The Lopez family’s portraits radiate that essence! It was all the love, the movement, the joy of being together in their favorite place. They thought getting three little boys to smile might have been a challenge (it wasn’t at all, really!), but the results were… pure Maui magic! Mahalo for choosing Karma Hill Photography!

For the Ciochetto family, Ironwoods Beach set the stage: a blend of pastel beachy colors, rolling waves, and golden sand. While Mom and Dad had visited before, this was a brand-new adventure for their three kids: two
