Beauties and the Beach – Mommy and Me Maui Family Portraits
What a dreamy evening it was for Lauren and Little Lauren’s mommy and me session! The perfect opportunity for some Maui Family Portraits. It was a very special day as it was mamma Lauren’s 40th birthday!! Motherhood looks good on Lauren, she doesn’t look a day over 30!
It was really special to be able to photograph these two, I also photographed Lauren’s maternity portraits and baby shower at the Maui Lavender Farm (see those gorgeous photos here). To see little Lauren grow and mamma Lauren grow into motherhood has been an amazing thing.
More Than Just Clients
Although I love all our clients, this dynamic duo holds a special place in my heart. I have known Lauren almost as long as I have been in Hawaii. When I first moved to Maui in 2006, I took a job as a manager at a tacky tourist trap restaurant that shall remain unnamed. I first met Lauren when I hired her to be a server at the restaurant (she was overqualified and made me look good LOL).
After I quit that awful job, I became best friends with Lauren’s sister Adiel and have been able to stay close and see Lauren evolve into her own as a hair and makeup stylist and now mom.
I would have never guessed all those years ago, where we would be today ( in so many ways) but I am so glad I met her and get to continue to know her and see her sweet girl grow.
Little Lauren is obsessed with Moana ( hey join the club kid ) so of course we had to incorporate her Moana outfit into the shoot. She watches it multiple times a day and sings along to all the songs.
