Our Favorite Place – The Ng’s Maui Family Portrait
There’s something extra magical about a Maui family portrait session when it takes place in a place that already feels like home. For the Ng family, Maui isn’t just a vacation spot, it’s a tradition. A love story that started on their honeymoon 15 years ago and has grown to include two amazing kids (and quite a few trips back to the island!).
This year’s trip included something extra special: updated family photos at DT Fleming Beach. Yes, Owen (12) was so excited to be at the beach! That just made the candid moments that much better. And Ella (10), graceful dancer and fierce ice hockey player, was an absolute star, a total natural… Their sibling affection was adorable as you’ll see!
It was a gorgeous Maui morning, the kind where the light spills gently over the palms, the ocean sparkles like a gemstone, and the tropical colors basically do all the work for you. Morning light like this makes everything pop: the turquoise of the water, the lush green trees, the golden sand. It’s basically nature’s Instagram filter.
The Ngs, originally from Louisville, CO (a community that, like Maui, knows the heartbreak of wildfire), feel deeply connected to this island. Their Maui family portrait session wasn’t just about photos; it was about gratitude, resilience, and capturing joy in a place that holds so much meaning.
And wow, did they bring the joy. Giggles, sandy toes, and some serious sibling sass!
