While visiting the island from Minnesota, the Skatvolds wanted to take Maui family portraits to remember all their great memories! Above all, these pictures are a collection of moments this charming bunch will treasure forever! Continue scrolling to see these photos for yourself.
The Skatvolds are a delightful family of five consisting of Sara, her husband, and their three children! Joining our lovely group during this trip were Sara’s parents as well. Although this bunch has visited the island before, this was their first time staying in Wailea. Based on their joyous smiles, you can tell they enjoyed exploring a different part of Maui!
The Lighthearted Maui Family Portraits
Our beautiful family wanted us to capture authentic moments for them on the beach. This plan was perfect for us — especially since the youngest member of this group is only twenty-two months old! We made this session fun by staying energetic and encouraging this bunch to be playful with their poses. Not only did we get some dynamic shots of the Skatvolds on the shore. We also took high-spirited photos with this group putting their feet in the water and the little ones running around!
Southside Beach set the scene for these Maui family portraits, and we couldn’t have imagined a better backdrop! Surrounding the beige sand are lofty palm trees and lush greenery. Then, the azure waves gracefully washed on the shore in every shot — enhancing the picturesque background. However, our favorite thing about this location is the breathtaking weather! You can’t see a cloud hanging in the blue sky, so the morning sun was shining brightly.
